Eduard Crispi [Photography]: Fleeing Moments

Photography is an investigation of both the outer and the inner worlds. The first experiences with the camera involve looking at the world beyond the lens, trusting the instrument will 'capture' something 'seen'. The terms shoot and take are not accidental; they represent an attitude of conquest and appropriation. Only when the photographer grows into perception and creative impulse does the term make define a condition of empathy between the external and the internal events (Ansel Adams)
Ansel Adams in 1930 had been training to become a concert pianist while considering a career as a photographer. He decided, after seeing the photographs by Paul Strand, that "the camera, not the piano, would shape [his] destiny". His mother and aunt both pleaded, "Do not give up the piano! The camera cannot express the human soul!" To which Adams replied: "The camera cannot, but the photographer can”

Fleeing Moments

To take a photograph is to hold one’s breath when all faculties converge in a face of fleeing reality. It is at that moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy (Henri Cartier-Bresson)

Photography is a real passion of mine and as it has become increasingly soulful to me in the last years, I decided to start this blog. This is intended to be a way to learn about my photographs and particularly how others see them. So, any constructive critics are more than welcome.

In my works I try to reflect the beauty and magnificence of our world. In addition, I want my photographs to reveal the feelings of the person being photographed. I constantly search for sorrow, pain, solitude, despair, melancholy, sensuality, intimacy, passion, cheerfulness, joy, vivacity, exultation, etc .

I hope my photos capture some of these feelings.
